About BODE Design

The first drawing, and the whole cycle behind it

BODE Design is the design practice of BODE Group, working from Sunset Road in Seminyak and designing across Indonesia. We draw whole homes, villas, hospitality and commercial projects, from new builds to complete renovations and extensions, and hand each one over ready to tender and build.

How we work

Six habits behind every sheet

Each one is simple. What matters is that they hold at every stage, on every project, from the brief to the tender pack.

  1. One point of contact

    From the first sketch to handover, one person at BODE Design answers for the drawings, the programme and the cost plan, whoever is drawing that week.

  2. A cost plan at every stage

    An early estimate closes the brief, a cost per square metre shapes the concept, and the cost plan is updated at every stage after that. The budget is checked before each sign-off.

  3. Drawn by the right architect

    Each project is matched to an architect from our network by portfolio, style, experience and licensing. The architect keeps design authorship; we write the brief and review every stage.

  4. Checked by people who build

    Buildability is reviewed with the build team before a stage is signed off, so the drawings that reach site are drawings a site can follow.

  5. Everything in the pack agrees

    Drawings, RKS, BOQ and areas are checked against each other before the tender pack is issued, so every builder prices the same building.

  6. The first practice in the cycle

    BODE Design hands its pack to the rest of BODE Group: BODE Procurement to take it to market, BODE Construction to build it, BODE Interior to fit it out and BODE Solar to power it.
